Who will win the American Music Award 4 Favorite Soul/R&B Album? The nominees are... "I Am...Sasha Fierce" Beyonce "The E.N.D." Black Eyed Peas "Number Ones" Michael Jackson Beyonce's CD ruled the roost last winter, & then the soul/R&B listeners gave Peas a chance for much of the summer. & of course, expect the King of Pop 2 draw in sympathy votes, as usual per nominee that's now in the afterlife. music nowadays sucks, because MANY young people music taste nowadays sucks? and before I go any further, I just want to clarify that I'm born in 1982 (which makes me still of today's young/Gen Y generation,...not some typical 'old-gen-hates-new-gen' cliched story). I know that this has been said over & over again that it's almost a cliche, but seriously, as a big music lover and a musician myself, I feel really really sad & angry for the current state of *MAINSTREAM* music nowadays (note: i am not saying ALL, just those big MAJOR hits that's played in radio & MTV nowadays), that everytime I turn on the radio or MTV or V channel nowadays, it's like I just want to destroy my radio & TV forever, because I can't stand how music nowadays just basically feels very 'dry', lack emotions, very shallow lyrics and theme, and the same boring **** repeated from artist to artist. this alone is already sad. but what makes me even sadder, is of how there are still MANY many people (particularly teens, I notice) that said of how this & this major artist have a TALENT, and a HUGE one!......uhh, no it's not. it's sadly just a "clever marketing & advertising strategy" coupled with being "commercial" & having all about pretty looks & body (and showing cleavage & boobs for female). what happened to the great, very emotional, and actually INNOVATIVE music, and I'm talking about MAINSTREAM music, such as: - Beatles : Eleanor Rigby (still damn genius song, IMO) - Carpenters' heartfelt emotional songs & *meaningful* lyrics that you CAN actually relate, such as Yesterday Once More, Rainbow Connection, Leave Yesterday Behind - Queen : Show Must Go On (I literally shiver everytime I hear this, even still now!) and many many other good *MAINSTREAM* music?? - and in the rock realm itself, all those REAL-innovative (not the misinterpred "fake innovative") rock music such as Led Zeppelin's Kashmir, Guns N Roses' kick-ass ending in song November Rain, Deep Purple's Sweet Child in Time, Burn, etc - even funky, soul music such as in the movie Sister Act (just watched it yesterday) were still DAMN GOOD compared to the crappy repetitive r&b and sh*tty blink-blink shallow hip-hop music nowadays! (that again, misplacedly labeled as "talented"! uggghh!) instead, nowadays for the *MAINSTREAM* music played in radio and TV, and labeled as "talented, gorgeous" by these young teens, we got Lady Gaga feat Beyonce with mediocre, 'dry' music, then showing all their body and by repeating meaningless "e e e e e e e" phrases and lack heartfelt LYRICS! .....and don't even get me started on talking about Ke$$$$hhhhaa & Bieberrr! I mean seriously,..as cliche & overly-repeated question this certainly is, but I'm there's a REAL POINT in people asking this question: what the hell is wrong with music nowadays? and where is it heading? and thus my main question: is it *only* music nowadays that sucks,..or is it because today's MAINSTREAM young teens & people are part to blame, because there're still a LOT lot of them, fact of the matter, still like it, even label them as "talented" ??? and a BIG kudos will be added, if you can actually tell me, how to change this hopeless situation we're in? thanks, and please forgive my frustration! PS: again I'm not saying ALL music today sucks. it's the major, MAINSTREAM music that's currently "popular" and played over & over again in music & radio, that so many people nowadays sadly still think they're "talented", and that's WHY they're POPULAR/famous! ouch, big one!
If African-Americans were still as ambitious as they were during the civil rights era, they would be...? ...the superior race on this planet. Think back, when African-Americans fought for the privilege to go to college. When they fought for an education. When they fought for the first rows of the bus. When they fought for the right to vote. When they fought for professional jobs. When music was not overpaid. When sweet black soul music could be heard in every black household. When an African-American was more ambitious to learn than any other race. What happened to these days? Have African Americans reached a peak of their culture and their ambitions during the civil rights movement and are now slowly going backwards again? What happened to those proud African Americans? Why is it now all about sitting in the back, smoking weed, buying rims, carrying a gun? I mean that is really generalized, but let's be real - what happened to the freedom that their ancestors fought for. The freedom which their ancestors died for? I am not caucasian
How do you get those cute little music notes and hearts near your name on Yahoo Answers? Can anyone please tell me how you get those little symbols (especially the music notes) near your name? Please don't use any complex computer terminology to explain it, you need to tell me the actual buttons to press, not just say something clever like "import", "link", "cut and paste" or whatever. Assume I don't know what they mean. (it's close). Thank you. Oh also, if you have any idea why my user name Integrity cuts off the last letter in the display screen I would love to know, because I've seen others who have much longer names. But that's just an afterthought. Any sweet soul patient enough to explain how to do the music note (or hearts) thing, I would really really appreciate it! Thank you so much! okay thank you ...."paste" ?? any clues, anyone? Wow, thanks everyone, but the buttons to press, please remember I need to know the buttons to press.Where is paste? And accessories in the start panel ... I can't find it. I clicked on start, should it say accessories? It doesn't! Any other tips of what it might be called? Woo hoo! I did it!! Go me!
Good Sweet 16 invitations? I am throwning a Sweet 16 and it was going to be at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music..so i was looking for an invitation with a music sort of theme..preferably with musical notes on it...but not cheezy looking... Thanks!
Do you agree the sweetest thing is to abide in Jesus and the sweetest music is gospel? I really love the joy I have in Jesus Christ and the music that soothes my soul.
To me music is like religion at times. Check out these Collective Soul lyrics? When I listen to the music I own I pay attention to the lyrics. "The World I know" Has our conscience shown? Has the sweet breeze blown? Has all the kindness gone? Hope still lingers on. I drink myself of newfound pity Sitting alone in new york city And I dont know why. Are we listening to hyms of offering? Have we eyes to see that love is gathering? All the words that Ive been reading Have now started the act of bleeding into one. So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below. And I laugh at myself As the years roll down. cause its the world I know. "Collection of Goods" Resonate tones of saving grace Separate from the gods of hate Alleviate all our doubting ways Congregate to more loving days A collection of peace where we could live A collection of hope for us to give A collection of words that mean we care A collection of love for us to share Recognize all equality Vocalize solidarity Exercise your tranquility Glamourize all of love's needs A collection of peace where we could live A collection of hope for us to give A collection of words that mean we care A collection of love for us to share She wants more She says he wants more He says I want more I say he could take some more Even though there is no mention of God in the lyrics, there is still a hint "between the lines"

Catholics-is music a sin? I read this quote below by John Paul 11 and it has really made me confused and have much despair. Its like so even music now is bad and a sin, like anything that brings joy to life is a sin. I dont get this and it makes me upset-why did God make me like/put in my soul/character to like music if Hes now saying it is a sin? It seems liek everything i read suggests to be a Christian means to live miserable-i dont know if this is something i can bear. Thankyou "I have a sweet tooth for song and music. This is my Polish sin." Pope John Paul II 16 hours ago - 3 days left to answer. Additional Details But what about what the Pope said-how can that be reconciled with saying that music isnt a sin if he saying that it is a sin? He didnt specifically say it was a sin cause he was putting it as his god/idol before God but he said it was a sin cause his cultural interest/attraction to music. If your catholic and say it isnt a sin then can you please explain his quote as this is upsetting me.

I have these Poems can you tell me what you think of it? can you rate these poems on a scale from one to ten: Notes The conductor waves his baton, And gives the beat, 1, and, 2, and, 3, and, 4, and, Quickly I grab my bow and begin to play, Becoming one with the sweet music of the cello, The notes embrace my soul, And I let go, Twirling round and round with the notes, Dancing joyfully away from reality, Dancing to the beat, Suddenly I tire wanting to go back, But the notes tug at me playfully so I join them, Laughing, The notes form a man shape And passionately embraces me I embrace him back, But the music stops, I'm sent reeling back to reality, I bow, And the conductor starts again... What is Love? Inspired by love What is love? Do you have some sort of longing for another? What is love? Is it just a quick embrace? What is love? To be with another only to despair over their departure? What is love? Are you always longing to meet each other? What is love? To blush when you do something stupid in front of one another? But answer this: What is life without love?
What is the theme of George Herbert's poem "Virtue"? Sweet Day, so cool, so calm, so bright, The bridal of the earth and sky; The dew shall weep thy fall tonight; For thou must die. Sweet rose, whose hue angry and brave Bids the rash gazer wipe his eye: Thy root is ever in its grave, And thou must die. Sweet spring, full of sweet days and roses, A box where sweets compacted lie; My music shows ye have your closes, And all must die. Only a sweet and virtuous soul, like seasoned timber, never gives; but though the whole world turn to coal, Then chiefly lives.
Music and you.........? I need a name for 'music' for example: therapy for the soul or 'how sweet the sound' or anything like that basically. any suggestions?
Another name for 'MUSIC'? so... I need another name for music? for example: "Therapy for the Soul" or any titles that have to do anything with music. Like, "how sweet the sound"
Is this too lame a write to even bother commenting on? Find Find in your heart the words to describe the soul of the one you love Find in your soul the music to describe the heart of the one you love Then Find in you core the courage to speak the words about the one you love Find in your core the courage to sing the music about the one you love And finally Listen listen for the sweet reply
Please help me improve this poem? I wrote it a yesterday and it still needs work. I need some opinions on which parts should be changed, and if you see any mistakes, please tell me. I spelled fairy as "faery" on purpose, by the way. Thanks for any comments. (I'm really a novelist, not a poet, but here it goes.) ~FAERY MUSIC~ Between the dusky evening, And coolest breath of night, The sound of faery singing Will set the soul to flight. But generally, I’m sad to say, Many can't hear the melodies, They turn their heads; look away, Stop their ears from harmonies. Only a few can hear the fairies sing… The poet, who wanders rapt in the night, To their music, his soul still clings… His sees the flash of dancing sprites. The child who gazes up at the rays of moon, Through glass that holds him indoors, Hears the sweet music nevertheless, and soon, His liberated young spirit soars. Anyone who stops and listens closely, will very surely hear it, But listening’s more daunting than you’d think at first, It seems people come of age in mind, in body, but not in spirit. And while they come of age, their souls turn cursed.
new poem serious critiques please? looking, searching, praying, i wander through an empty world full of regrets. Staring into the lifeless eyes of broken souls, dying hearts, all searching for salvation, reaching out for help and drawing back at the same time Looking for a light one that went out long ago. a light that disappeared from every heart-- the candle that spotlights even the darkest night the loving forgiveness of faith. what did you like and not like? what improvements can i make? another: We carry our wrongs with us searching for a soul to help bear them until finally we hear the sweet music of a caring soul, the best song, the one that tells us everything is alright the light is not christ, it's meant to symbolize the fact that the human race has lost faith in so many things that the light, the excitement, tends to go out of people's eyes and life through the hardships

"The Day the Music Died"? In the song "The Day the Music Died" who is don mcclean reffering to as the JESTER, and who is the song about? A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that music used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And, maybe, theyd be happy for a while. But february made me shiver With every paper Id deliver. Bad news on the doorstep; I couldnt take one more step. I cant remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride, But something touched me deep inside The day the music died. So bye-bye, miss american pie. Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. And them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye Singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." Did you write the book of love, And do you have faith in God above, If the Bible tells you so? Do you believe in rock n roll, Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that youre in love with him `cause I saw you dancin in the gym. You both kicked off your shoes. Man, I dig those rhythm and blues. I was a lonely teenage broncin buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck, But I knew I was out of luck The day the music died. I started singin, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. Them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye And singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." Now for ten years weve been on our own And moss grows fat on a rollin stone, But thats not how it used to be. When the jester sang for the king and queen, In a coat he borrowed from james dean And a voice that came from you and me, Oh, and while the king was looking down, The jester stole his thorny crown. The courtroom was adjourned; No verdict was returned. And while lennon read a book of marx, The quartet practiced in the park, And we sang dirges in the dark The day the music died. We were singing, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. Them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye And singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." Helter skelter in a summer swelter. The birds flew off with a fallout shelter, Eight miles high and falling fast. It landed foul on the grass. The players tried for a forward pass, With the jester on the sidelines in a cast. Now the half-time air was sweet perfume While the sergeants played a marching tune. We all got up to dance, Oh, but we never got the chance! `cause the players tried to take the field; The marching band refused to yield. Do you recall what was revealed The day the music died? We started singing, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. Them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye And singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." Oh, and there we were all in one place, A generation lost in space With no time left to start again. So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick! Jack flash sat on a candlestick Cause fire is the devils only friend. Oh, and as I watched him on the stage My hands were clenched in fists of rage. No angel born in hell Could break that satans spell. And as the flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite, I saw satan laughing with delight The day the music died He was singing, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. Them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye And singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." I met a girl who sang the blues And I asked her for some happy news, But she just smiled and turned away. I went down to the sacred store Where Id heard the music years before, But the man there said the music wouldnt play. And in the streets: the children screamed, The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed. But not a word was spoken; The church bells all were broken. And the three men I admire most: The father, son, and the holy ghost, They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died. And they were singing, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. And them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye Singin, "thisll be the day that I die. "thisll be the day that I die." They were singing, "bye-bye, miss american pie." Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. Them good old boys were drinkin whiskey and rye Singin, "thisll be the day that I die."

If a bluebird sings out of tune, what do you do? If a bluebird sings out of tune do you trap it and break its neck? Isn't the fact that his heart still manages to sing the fairest gift of all? And what if those sour notes are sweet music to that sassy lady bird atop the tree next to him? A call that only she can hear which touches only her soul? It's a crying shame to see broken bluebirds silenced stacked as mounds on the floor of this site where music should reign free. tweet....*squash*
Old School R&B/Soul - Motown or Memphis? Back in the 60s and early 70s, popular music was dominated by the 'soul' sounds from Detroit's Motown label and Memphis' Stax label. Personally, I always thought that Motown 'whitened up' their music, making it sweeter and more palatable to the white audiences, whereas Stax was far more rootsy, funky and sticking to traditional blues foundations. I also believe that Stax better represented the soul sound and did not exploit their artists like Berry Gordy and Motown did. Stax also invited other artists from other labels (like Herbie Mann, Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield) to record, whereas Motown strictly stuck to their stable of artists. What are your thoughts on this?

Do you agree the sweetest thing is to abide in Jesus and the sweetest music is gospel? I really love the joy I have in Jesus Christ and the music that soothes my soul.
Music suggestions for me? I am a big fan of music. I also like a fairly wide variety. Though, I'm not really into the newer mainstream stuff. I despise rap (no offense meant) and the rock which is labeled "emo" (again, no offense meant). Here is a list of the musicians on my iTunes library. However, this list doesn't even compare to the bands/artists in my CD collection. But, if there is a band or artist that you think I may not have and think I would like, please say so! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Is this a good personal statement to get into Yale? Yeah baby, that's right, I'd turn the lights down low, put on some soft music, and make sweet love to you on my bearskin rug next to the fire. Mmmm yeah baby, that's what I'm talkin bout. I'm ready to caress your beautiful curves, kiss your luscious red lips, and make you feel ecstasy all night long... so you'll keep comin back for more. That's right woman, this ain't no one night stand, I'm into you with feelins deep down in my soul for you I can't barely describe; I've got the hunger and only you can satisfy my appetites. Now c'mon honey, why don't you slip into something more comfortable and gimme some sugah. That's just the first paragraph. Do you think I have something to work with here? Any advice appreciated. You people must all be virgins. I'm certain this statement would seduce any admissions committee.
T'is sweet to say that I love you. Thoughts? [Title] In You I see you there You are dancing to music that plays in me You sway so gracefully, I am amazed by you I fall away From reality into my pleasant dreams To timely places in skies up above, light blue In you, I discover a heart that is good and is pure I long to hold you near In you, I uncover what's happiness, that I am sure I need you and your tears Your smiles and your frowns and your laughs To go on through this life, what we have And I'm cherishing what I have found in you I run, I leap You don't know why I skip through the clouds and stars You think it's crazy that I am in love with you I say, t'is sweet To know angels with beautiful souls and wings And to see heaven's dear blessing to me in you In you, faith is shining so brightly that I'm blown away I don't know what I've done In you, strength can conquer the world and all hellish days I don't know why you've come I'm only a poet at heart Many times I've been broken apart And I think you have found what I've known in you Today, time doesn't matter now All I need can't be found in the futures I've dreamed T'is as close as the beat of your heart Tonight, stars make like pearls somehow And your eyes are reflecting what Jesus has made He has given me wings to fly Oh, I fly, I fly And all of my fears fall away from me Oh, I fly, I fly And I cherish the heaven I've found in you Ooh, in you
Any (obscure) music suggestions? I'm up for suggestions! I made a list of the music that is on my computer so you can get an idea of what I listen to. As you can tell, my music taste varies. However, I despise most of the popular bands (okay, ALL) bands of today. Also, keep in mind that I have many more artists on CD that isn't on my computer so they are not listed....so, try to be as obscure as possible. What is the meaning behind the song music of the night? Does anyone know what the meaning is of these lyrics? Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently the senses abandon their defenses... (music) Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendour Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night. Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Purge all thoughts of the life you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar And you'll live as you've never lived before. Softly, deftly, music shall caress you Hear it, feel it secretly possess you. Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind In this darkness that you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night Let your mind start a journey through a strange, new world Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before Let your soul take you where you long to be Only then can you belong to me Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savour each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night
What do you think of this piece of...work? He was an artist, a melancholy one at that. When he wasn't working his art quietly, he Would break into sweet songful swearing That made the evil one below cover his pointed Ears. As he taught me the art of music, his Vulgar language, although normal to him, would Pierce my ears like sweet music. When I made A mistake on my scale, my sweet songful swearing Took over my soul in such a manner to put my Master to shame. He was indeed proud. I soon Out did the old Kappelmeister and after every concert I would bow to a gracious audience and to myself Would say "That f*****g sucked. Master smiled From Heaven, blessing me with newer words often. dissonant....'like' sweet music. Try not to read into it too much.

Does anyone really mind? I am posting the first poem I wrote about Momma for those who want to read it.? Please be ok with that. I promise I will not do it again! : ) Momma Is Walking With Jesus Her body was old, worn and tired That wheelchair she road in no more. The bed was her earth's last resting place We moved it by her big window. The birds she could watch eat their seed. The hummers would drink their sweet nectar. Her flowers bloomed with full color Giving her their show of a lifetime. Momma I don't want you to leave me, But I do know it's time for you to go. Tell Daddy hi and that I love him And now I'm going to sing you a song. I know I can't sing well at all momma But maybe you can stand it a while I just need to do this for myself momma Maybe I will not hurt your ears too bad. I sang one of the songs she loved best The only verse I could remember then I come to the garden alone While the dew is still one the roses Momma you know "In The Garden" The song you love so much I'm sure I did a very bad job of it momma But I wanted to do it for you. I know I'm crying momma, I'm sorry I'm not crying for you I'm just crying for my old self momma 'cause when your gone I'll miss you so. Something wonderful for my soul Happened just then, My dear, sweet momma turned her head Eyes still closed, no sound made. In my heart I know she heard my words I know she heard my singing Sweet music to her ears I know she heard me say, I love you momma. Go home momma, be with Jesus I said And momma did My momma went to Heaven, To see Jesus face to face. My momma is walking with Jesus Up through the Pearly Gates. You know I am ashamed to say I don't even know how to start a 360 or anything else like like, but I guess now is a good time to learn! : )

(in memory of my momma who passed away last week)
what are the themes of the poem "To a Skylark" and how does it relate to romanticism? please help....its for a major esssayy!! Hail to thee, blithe spirit! Bird thou never wert, That from heaven, or near it Pourest thy full heart In profuse strain of unpremeditated art. Higher still and higher From the earth thou springest Like a cloud of fire; The blue deep thou wingest, And singing still dost soar, and soaring ever singest. In the golden lightning Of the sunken sun, O'er which clouds are brightning, Thou dost float and run; Like an unbodied joy whose race is just begun. The pale purple even Melts around thy flight; Like a star of heaven, In the broad daylight Thou art unseen, but yet I hear thy shrill delight. Keen as are the arrows Of that silver sphere, Whose intense lamp narrows In the white dawn clear, Until we hardly see, we feel that it is there. All the earth and air With thy voice is loud, As, when night is bare, From one lonely cloud The moon rains out her beams, and heaven is overflow'd. What thou art we know not:, What is most like thee? From rainbow clouds there flow not Drops so bright to see, As from thy presence showers a rain of melody. Like a poet hidden, In the light of thought, Singing hymns unbidden, Till the world is wrought To sympathy with hopes and fears it heeded not; Like a high-born maiden In a palace-tower, Soothing her love-laden Soul in secret hour With music sweet as love, which overflows her bower; Like a glow-worm golden In a dell of dew, Scattering unbeholden Its aerial hue Among the flowers and grass, which screen it from the view; Like a rose embower'd In its own green leaves, By warm winds deflower'd, Till the scent it gives Makes faint with too much sweet these heavy-winged thieves: Sound of vernal showers On the twinkling grass, Rain-awaken'd flowers, All that ever was Joyous, and clear, and fresh, thy music doth surpass. Teach us, sprite or bird, What sweet thoughts are thine; I have never heard Praise of love or wine That panted forth a flood of rapture so divine; Chorus hymeneal, Or triumphal chaunt, Match'd with thine would be all But an empty vaunt - A thing wherein we feel there is some hidden want. What objects are the fountains Of thy happy strain? What fields, or waves, or mountains? What shapes of sky or plain? What love of thine own kind? what ignorance of pain? With thy clear keen joyance Languor cannot be - Shadow of annoyance Never came near thee: Thou lovest - but ne'er knew love's sad satiety. Waking or asleep, Thou of death must deem Things more true and deep Than we mortals dream, Or how could thy notes flow in such a crystal stream? We look before and after, And pine for what is not; Our sincerest laughter With some pain is fraught; Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought. Yet if we could scorn Hate, and pride, and fear; If we were things born Not to shed a tear, I know not how thy joy we ever should come near. Better than all measures Of delightful sound - Better than all treasures That in books are found - Thy skill to poet were, thou scorner of the ground! Teach me half the gladness That thy brain must know, Such harmonious madness From my lips would flow, The world should listen then, as I am listening now!
A long poem I wrote: Thoughts? [Title] The Soul Will Not Be Globalized The soul will not be globalized It shall not bear the cursed mark of the beast Nor shall it be found falling down upon its knees The draft board will not have me fighting When any open wound is biting It shall not bleed in sacrifice For said revived Empire, the vice Of Satan's grasp upon this Earth The soul will not be globalized It shall not trade its burdens to Another form of peace, untrue It shall not be preyed upon By predators with flaming rods Or smoking guns that fail to catch Their enemies that freely hatch A new generation of the righteous The soul will not be globalized You will not find it acting tree hugger You cannot make it a verbal mugger No, it will not deny the facts While covering them up with lies and false pacts With unsuspecting fools and wimps It will not act like flip-flop pimps Sleeping with the plagued seductress The soul will not be globalized It will not claim the sky is falling When their comfort zone is balling Comfort, while as sucking voices dry Silencing the truth that never dies It will not forsake its moral brothers Or its broken hearted others In order to build up its own success The soul will not be globalized No papered manly worth shall buy its freedom No fruit of bitter sugar fats its sore bum It won't be salivating with its mindly wheel Over fallen stars with rusted sex-appeal It will not rough it out to bulge with fleshy pride Nor will it purge itself to light the fire that died In a demon possessed with its own luxuria The soul will not be globalized It will not join hands in marriage with the devil It will not submit to the world wide global evil It will not be a militiaman to march in time with death It will not bow before idle statues with no breath It will not continue tarrying here in sin and transgression It will not drown upon a stormy sea of materialistic obsession It will not crumble beneath the weight of ten thousand stones The soul shall rise above the world It shall choose life over death, not Satan, but the Father While those who don't repent shall be left dead in the water It shall lift its eyes from the cloud and smoke of depression It shall raise its voice up and speak out against its oppression Yes, the soul shall taste the flavour of His righteous blood Washing o'er its skin and cleansing heart in a flood No more shall it wallow in the pigpen of felony The soul shall rise above the world Take staff in one hand, good book in the other With the knowledge of divine grace and mercy to its brothers Young and old, rich and poor, black and white, cross the world And go out into the scorching deserts, lonely islands and arctic cold It shall teach of love and peace and joy to all people It shall clothe the naked, feed the hungry, with food and clothes so real They will be at loss of words to describe an unimaginable miracle The soul shall rise above the world Be a shining light example for the children of heaven Be a crutch for the crippled, eat of bread unleavened It will walk with no fear of the shadow of death Cloaking all the valley which he breathed its first breath With a smile, not a tear, it shall know in its heart That the covenant of God shall never break apart Cause His promise is carved in the inerasable stone The soul shall rise above the world Rise above the darkness Rise above transgression Break the ties that bind it Break the chains that keep it Crush the rock that traps it Crush the thoughts that try to stop it From flying upon Easterlies Easterlies that calm it Drinking water that cools it Wearing blankets that reheat it When the climate changes harshly Gaze with wide open eyes Praise with hands reached to the sky The redeemer is alive and is here for you today And forever and ever, can we hear an amen The Saviour is our Hero that tells us what is true Oprah Winfrey, Doctor Phil, Jerry Springer cannot play us Like instruments of deception and bringers of falsehood Just as Rosencrantz and Guildenstern misjudged Hamlet When he had a destiny to try and accomplish The soul shall rise above the world And down on bended knee, it shall confess That yes, it is worthless without truth, love and hope The soul shall rise and come back to the world In the end times that come on the hooves of four horses One of sickness, one of war, one of death, one of hunger That rise above us to try and conquer our united army Our military holds no guns, tanks or bombs Our military is conducted like sweet music of divinity By our commander, Lord Jesus who shall make us strong And in the end, all souls shall rise above the world Then fall and crush the devil down into the Earth Lock him up in the fortress of fire and brimstone And all will come together on Earth to say as one voice That we are victorious over death, hell and grave Cause it's Jesus Christ, our Lord who has eternally saved The souls as one who would not be globalized Can you hear that, it's the thunder Of the four horsemen riding Can you hear them rising against us all with hundred million armies Now, you can also hear the roar of the Lion The Lion of Judea stands tall on the horizon The thunder of the oncoming storm of rain and judgement Shall purify the soil and the grasses of the Earth Yes, Lord, the soul shall not be globalized The soul shall be united as one body for Christ Christ, our Deliverer, our Saviour, our King above all kings Well, think about it friends, time has run real short God bless you all, peace out We'll see you in His court Thanks Lizi! LOL! :D
