Who is higher on the all time greats list, Ray Charles or Elvis Presley?

I say ya gotta go with Ray. I just don't see how not to. Elvis was no "king of rock ' roll". Just a country singer with no soul. Ray Charles had a knack for being able to master all kinds of music and put some soul into it to boot.

1. Sorry but it's like comparing apples to spark plugs. Ray may have been more talented but Elvis changed the world. Before Elvis pop music was fun and polite. After Elvis all that changed forever. No other artist can say that.

4. Ray was a "real" musician. He could play and write as well as perform. Elvis had a decent voice with a great back up group (The Jordanairs) and a stable of song writers to help him along. Ray was genuine, Elvis was a by product of someones public relations campaign.
